Vernon Hicks is a platinum percussionist musician, performing internationally on stage and in studio. He has been awarded two platinum and three gold records, and two Grammys.

A lifelong musician, he played with artists as diverse as Earth, Wind and Fire, Marvin Gaye, Barbara Streisand, Mary J Blige, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Sheena Easton and LL Cool J. He has toured the United States as well as stops in Europe, China and Africa. As a music director and executive producer, he created numerous musical collaborations, starting with Donna Summers. His album “One Love”, songs of love and courage, is now available for downloading and streaming at Amazon, Spotify, Pandora and YouTube.

An advocate for children, with three grown daughters of his own, he consistently donates to causes such as foster children, Saint Jude’s and underserved communities. For his work, he has received dozens of “man of the year” awards, from Massachusetts, Connecticut and California cities and institutions. His guiding motto is: One People, One Planet, One Love.

The Bridges of Love Show is Mr. Hicks’ latest project. It features a shifting group of talented musicians and artists, some of whom began performing in his show before the Pandemic.
